This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how MetaHill ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use UltraPix (https://ultrapix.ai) and the mobile application UltraPix: AI Image Generator (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
We use personal and usage information only to provide, secure, and improve UltraPix. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use these practices to "spy" on you in a hidden way—when we use analytics or diagnostics, it is to fix bugs, understand what is confusing, and make the product better. Details are below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
We collect only what is necessary for account creation and authentication:
- Email address (via Clerk authentication)
- Name (optional, from auth provider)
- Profile photo (optional, from auth provider)
- Unique user ID (assigned by authentication provider)
We do not collect phone number, address, gender, or age unless you voluntarily provide this information in your profile settings.
1.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- IP address
- Device and browser information
- App interactions and usage patterns
- Technical diagnostics when errors occur (see Section 6)
This helps us operate, maintain, and improve our services and user experience.
1.3 User Content
- Images, prompts, and media uploaded or generated
We process this content only to provide the Service.
We do NOT use your content to train AI models.
2. Device Permissions (mobile app)
Depending on what you choose to do, we may request:
- Camera — only when you capture a new photo or video for uploads, your profile, AI features (e.g. image-to-image), or feedback we route through the camera picker
- Photos / media library — when you pick existing images or videos to edit or share into the app, save outputs, or attach media from your library
These permissions support the features you actively use. You can allow or revoke them anytime in device settings (some features may not work if access is denied).
Microphone: the current UltraPix mobile app does not require microphone access for core features. If we add audio-based features that need it in the future, we will update this Policy and request permission through the OS when you use those features.
3. How We Use Information
We use data to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Process payments and subscriptions
- Manage user accounts
- Provide support
- Ensure safety and prevent misuse
We may also use data to:
- Improve performance and features
- Develop new functionality
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
We rely on:
- Contract
- Consent
- Legitimate interests
- Legal obligations
5. Payments
Handled by:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play
- Stripe
- RevenueCat
We do not store payment details on our server.
6. Analytics and product insights
The tools in this section help us see what breaks and what is hard to use. They are staffed by vendors who process data on our behalf under contracts—not so we can sell your profile or surprise you with unrelated data uses. We do not sell personal data (see also Section 9).
Consent and legal bases (GDPR-style regions): Data needed to run your account and deliver the Service is processed under contract. Sentry and similar diagnostics help us operate a stable, secure service and are typically processed under legitimate interests (and where applicable contract), not for third-party marketing. Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, PostHog, and similar tools in Sections 6.1–6.2 are used for product improvement; depending on your jurisdiction and how the technology works (cookies, IDs, replay), some of this may be non-essential processing. Where the law requires it, we use a website cookie banner or other in-product consent or settings flows and honor your choices. Section 13 describes your rights, including withdrawing consent where that is the stated basis—subject to what is technically feasible for strictly necessary cookies or SDKs.
6.1 General analytics
We use:
- Google Analytics
- PostHog
To measure traffic, understand how the Service is used, and improve features and performance.
6.2 Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity on our website and in the UltraPix mobile app to see how people navigate and interact with the Service—for example through session replay, heatmaps, and related usage patterns—so we can fix confusing screens, reproduce issues, and prioritize improvements. This is for product quality, not for selling your data.
Clarity may use cookies and similar technologies on the web, and equivalent collection in the app, as described by Microsoft. That processing is limited to the purposes above; we do not receive money in exchange for your personal information, and we use Clarity as a service provider under this Policy. For how Microsoft handles data it receives, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
6.3 Error and stability monitoring (Sentry)
We use Sentry when something crashes or throws an error so engineers can see what went wrong and ship fixes. That usually means technical details (device type, app version, stack traces)— not a business to sell your data; it is outage and bug fixing. It is separate from marketing and from the session replays Clarity may capture.
7. Email Communications
We use Resend for sending essential communications.
8. Cookies
Used for authentication, sessions, and analytics.
A consent mechanism is provided where required.
9. Data Sharing
We only share information with companies that help us run UltraPix (such as hosting, auth, payments, analytics, and monitoring)—including Microsoft (Clarity) and Sentry as described in Section 6. They are allowed to use the data we send them only to perform those services for us, not for their own unrelated sale of your personal information.
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for money or for their own marketing lists.
10. International Transfers
Data may be processed outside your country (including the United States) with appropriate safeguards.
11. Data Retention
We retain data:
- While your account is active
- Deleted after request within reasonable time
- Longer if required by law
12. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption and secure authentication.
13. Your Rights
You may:
- Access, correct, or delete your data
- Restrict or object
- Withdraw consent

14. California Rights
You may request:

We do not sell or share personal data.
15. Children's Privacy
Not intended for children under 13.
We will remove such data upon request.
16. Account & Data Deletion
Users can delete their account:
- Directly within the app (recommended)

17. Changes
We may update this Policy at any time.
